Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

My daughter does these "hard to believe it's not a photograph" pencil drawings of photographs of famous people. In addition to this horizontal of Marilyn Monroe, I've also uploaded a vertical cropping of Marilyn, and ones of Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn and Scarlet Johansson. They take her many, many hours, and patience I could never muster. I'm always amazed to see them unfold. Unfortunately, when she posts them on facebook, other people don't believe they are hand done because they look so much like photographs. However, if you click on the 100% resolution, I think it should be obvious that they are pencil drawings. The image is a flatbed scan of the original, which are very delicate. For a while, she was drawing some of the more famous rock band members and going to their concerts and getting them signed. I hope to get her to let me scan and post those as well. She was particularly a fan of Lincoln Park and Green Day for a while.
I started out shooting the "old fashioned way" with a 4x5" field camera and by creating color transparencies. I then scanned them at either 1200 or 2400 dpi. Every effort is made to match the original transparency. That said, there was a time when I developed cataracts, and scanning and preparing images for this website became difficult. Now that I've had surgery and can see clearly again, some of the images seem a bit too saturated in color. That's because cataracts mute colors. It's like looking through window covered with a film of grime and dirt. The challenge and reward in 4x5" landscape photography is to capture things as they really are, and get the exposure just right. And at over $6 a shot, it pays to be very selective. ...
